About Us – Glitzzy

After taking off in 2010, Glitzzy has successfully contributed to the fantasy, flair and frolic at 280+ events (and counting), be it at a children’s birthday party, a corporate holiday event, a non-profit fundraiser or our trademark fusion weddings.

For the last few years, we have focused primarily on our wedding planning services—be it Indian, Indian-American or destination weddings (for those not from Austin, Texas).

At Glitzzy, our #1 goal has always been to help you plan and execute the wedding of your dreams, as well as all of the other events leading up to it. We approach each event with an open mind and a blank canvas. We thrive on making it a unique experience each time and we achieve this by pricking up our ears to take note of your tastes, preferences and visions. No matter what your budget—we plan each event with the same passion and dedication!

The Force Behind Glitzzy

My enthusiasm, creativity and skill for event planning was honed as a result of my rich Indian and Portuguese heritage. From an early age I loved to plan a good party, and I learned quickly that the secret to success is paying attention to the finer details. With my husband Rohit by my side and a few decades’ worth of tradition to fall back on, I am deeply committed to making sure every event is reflective and celebratory of our client’s personality.

My Signature Style
I love combining colors and textures to create an atmosphere that echoes the mood and theme of the event, all while tastefully representing both Eastern and Western cultures.

The Force Behind Cheryl

I have over 20+ global experience in the field of business continuity and crisis management. During this time I have called many countries home. From India—land of my birth, to the United Arab Emirates where I spent 5 years and currently, I am proud to be a citizen of both Canada and the United States of America. I have been married to Cheryl for 30+ years and together we have raised three awesome children.

My Signature Style
I manage all operational aspects of every event ranging from staffing, to set up, logistics during the event and last but not the least the tear down at the end of every event.
I love making sure that the couple is taken care of during their event and I am constantly driving our staff to raise the level of personal attention to each and every guest that they interact with.
