Cheryl is literally every bride and groom’s dream come true. We got married on February 29th, 2020, with just 7 months of planning prior, and it’s unimaginable to think about how we could’ve made our dream wedding a reality without Cheryl by our sides. Planning a wedding for 500 people is no easy feat, let alone a wedding that spans over the course of 3 days. Cheryl worked with us from the very beginning- reaching out to each and every vendor we came up with. Truly, this woman has more patience than anyone we’ve ever met- which is no exaggeration. Most wedding planners we’ve seen our family or friends hire get frustrated when you come close to a decision and then renege – asking to reach out to just a few more vendors, but not Cheryl. She will do everything in her power to make sure that you do not feel pressured and are happy and comfortable with the decisions you make and contracts you sign, even if that means a lot of extra work on her part. There were several times we felt bad, to which she would ease our worries saying, “Don’t even worry- it’s all a part of the process!”

We joked with her so many times during the planning, asking her if she ever takes a break. Well, spoiler alert to anyone wondering – she doesn’t. We don’t understand how she can have the same number of hours in her day as the rest of us, but she makes it all look easy. To those of you that are very detail-oriented and particular, she is just the right fit for you. She would make Marie Kondo proud with how organized she is in her wedding planning; no detail goes unnoticed. She was there at almost every single vendor meeting, tasting, etc- never missing a beat. A couple of our vendors even praised how hands-on and present she was, saying they had never seen a planner that was this dedicated before.

Without a doubt she was a lifesaver every single day leading up to the wedding, but the week of our events- she was basically a wedding wizard. Every time we looked around or needed her, she was there! We could swear she can apparate, because we don’t know how she is always everywhere at once. We had so many moving pieces during our wedding and it was quite a production, but Cheryl handled it all seamlessly and with a smile on her face- like the classy professional that she is.

We had some deep conversations with Cheryl along the way, which just made us love her more and more. A lot of people that are in the wedding industry can fall into a mentality of “well- this is just another wedding, just another weekend to me.” Not Cheryl. What happens when someone finally gets the chance to have their dream job? You get someone like Cheryl. Wedding planning isn’t work to her, it’s a labor of love. She pours her heart and soul into every single wedding she plans. It is so easy to see how much she enjoys what she does and how happy it makes her to bring each and every couple’s dream wedding to life.

Any time we were feeling uneasy about anything in the process, she was always there in our court – making sure that our needs were met by our vendors. During the contract process she asked for so many different concessions on our behalf from our venues and vendors that we didn’t even think about. These concessions truly elevated our wedding- making it incredibly memorable for us, and all of our guests. She saved us thousands of dollars with her savvy negotiating skills and experience- well over what we paid to have her on our team. If you’re wondering if a planner is worth the money – the right one can be the best decision you make. So many of our guests commented that our wedding was the most well-organized wedding they had ever been to. This is all thanks to Cheryl.

With that said, this review would not be complete without mentioning Cheryl’s husband, Rohit. One of the biggest reasons that Cheryl is able to throw herself so passionately into her weddings is because she has the best support system in Rohit. Rohit was there by Cheryl’s side during our entire wedding- complementing her skills with his own, no task too big or too small. One sweet gesture that has remained in our minds is the memory of how Rohit put together a bag full of packed food for us at the end of every single one of our events, giving us a chance to try any items we might have missed in the flurry. You hear so many couples say that they never got to try the food they spent so much time picking out for their wedding, but Cheryl and Rohit would never let that happen. They are thoughtful and caring, always making sure their couples are taken care of. We will forever be grateful to both of them for everything they did for us in the months leading up to our wedding.

We would 100% recommend anyone to hire Cheryl, and not think twice. She is a wonderful person- very ethical, straightforward, and transparent. We once very naively asked her why she doesn’t plan outside of Austin. Looking back- the answer is clear. Cheryl is not the type of person that would be willing to compromise on her quality and presence. She wants to be there for you every step of the way. She knows the Austin venues like the back of her hand and has built incredible relationships with all of the vendors she has worked with- a perk that her couples get to have to their advantage. Austin is so lucky to have her.

I can’t say enough about Cheryl and Rohit. I remember the first time I spoke with Cheryl on the phone and we had an instant connection!!! I knew immediately she would be the one to help me plan the most important day of my life. I remember telling her my vision and she knew immediately which venue, photographer and videographer I would like. Of course I did my homework and looked into every other option to make sure I was making the right decision. Ultimately, Cheryl was right! I chose all of her vendors and venue selection and I couldn’t be happier! She has a way of knowing what you are looking for and makes sure to only pick the best options. I was also amazed at how she made sure to incorporate my parents and in-laws requests. She always put my husband and I first but made sure our parents were happy with the final decision. Our wedding weekend turned out perfect and I honestly wouldn’t change a thing thanks to Cheryl! She was not only our wedding planner but has become a good friend!!

Cheryl is a great wedding planner! Cheryl helped me and wife plan an amazing wedding! We had a fusion Indian/American wedding and Cheryl knew about both cultures and wedding styles very well and did an great job infusing the two. Since I had been living in another state during the planning, having Cheryl was very helpful and took a lot of stress off us! She helped schedule all of our events in the planning phase, making sure we did certain things at the appropriate time, had a lot of great vendors to choose from Cheryl schdheuled weekly meetings for me and my wife and the parents to talk through things like budget items, certain things we wanted, and feedback on our ideas. Cheryl helped a get an amazing venue for the wedding and her relationships with the venue really helped on the pricing, plus her relationships with the other main vendors, like the Indian food, the decor, cake, music, and the hair/makeup. The week of she was solely focused on our wedding, taking our calls when we needed and very responsive through the entire process. She made the wedding day very easy and stress-free as possible for us. Cheryl and Rohit made sure we stayed on schedule for both wedding day events, made sure everything was set up perfectly, and made sure to plan for if certain things didn’t go accordingly. Cheryl is very detailed in all that she does and made sure it was exactly what we wanted and envisioned for our wedding. Not only did she help us envision the wedding we wanted but helped is suggesting great ideas for our wedding in areas we did not know what we wanted. Overall this wedding would not have had gone as smoothly without Cheryl. We are grateful for her and Rohit for making this special day so memorable, stress-free, and amazing! I have already recommended her to friends and family members who want to plan a wedding and told them you need a wedding planner for an event like a wedding and that you need Cheryl, the right wedding planner for your event. She knows all of the ins and outs of weddings, so easy to work with, helpful at all points of the planning and from just spending time with her during these 9 months, we can tell that she loves what she does and that is what makes her so great at it! My husband and I are from Chicago and decided to have an Austin destination wedding. We met Cheryl during one of our visits and we’re so glad we decided to hire a planner. Cheryl was our feet on the ground and was able to connect us with a lot of Indian vendors which was very helpful. She also planned our schedules when we came to visit to optimize our time. Between Cheryl and Rohit, the execution of our wedding weekend was flawless. Cheryl even bought the perishable items needed for the ceremony since we were coming in from out of town. My Wedding was Perfect! Words cannot express my gratitude for Cheryl and her husband Rohit. My wedding weekend went without the slightest hitch and it is all due to this amazing team. I reached out to Cheryl in the beginning of my wedding planning process when I soon realized I could not do it on my own and I had all these ideas and they made it all come to life and everything was simply magical.Cheryl was extremely responsive from the beginning to the end and was with me every step of the way. Cheryl and her team did an amazing job helping us through the wedding process. It was the first wedding in both our families, so we were overwhelmed on where to start. But as soon as we found Cheryl, we got to work right away, starting by finding a better venue for the reception than I had originally found on my own. My husband and I were living in a different state which made planning a wedding in Austin tricky, but Cheryl kept us on track with weekly phone calls and to do lists.

She is extremely organized, creative and knows how to work with all the vendors. She knows how to negotiate with the vendors to make sure you will get the most for your money. Getting closer to the wedding, Cheryl made sure to go through everything with me but also with our families.

Whenever I was in town, she worked with our schedules to make sure we were getting everything done. The day of the wedding, she was there with her husband Rohit and her assistant who were all such a huge help. I even had an emergency the day of with my videographer and she was able to find additional help the morning of my wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. My wedding was about 500-550 guests and there is no way I could have managed everything on my own. Cheryl will go above and beyond for you and will make the wedding day experience a lot less stressful. My wedding turned out beautiful and all our guests had a wonderful time and I owe a lot of the planning and work to Cheryl and her team

We first contacted Cheryl almost 10 months before our big day. We had viewed many others and just from her videos we knew there was something about her. Once we had our first call, we couldn’t stop talking about Cheryl and the instant connection we felt. We had Cheryl’s top package and looking back, we wouldn’t have changed anything. Her weekly conference calls helped us stay on track with contracts, payments, discussions about the timeline and also allowed us to be held accountable given our busy and hectic schedules. She made the whole wedding planning process a breeze!

To put things in perspective we signed her contract in late September 2018 and before January 2019 we had the Venue, photographer, decor, videographer, horse for the baraat, DJ, Hair and Make up Artist, clothing designer and mehndi artist all signed. These were major pieces we had done within a few months. Nearly two months before the big day all we had were tiny components left which were mainly extras and related to logistics.

The week of the wedding is where we were even more grateful for having Cheryl and Rohit present. They made things go extremely smoothly. We didn’t feel stressed except for minor unexpected details but once we told Cheryl they were swiftly taken care of.

Overall we wouldn’t have been able to have our dream wedding without Cheryl and Rohit. We would highly recommend using her services and her experience. She truly was someone who took the time to make sure things were the way we had pictured and not someone who forced ideas and made it their way instead. Cheryl has been a god sent angel for my family and I. My husband and I took on medical residency and wedding planning at the same time. Little did we know, residency was going to take over our lives. Cheryl stepped in and made it all seem so effortless. She guided us every step of the way as a dear friend and well wisher. She advocated for the wedding and made us pay attention to issues we did not even realize were things we had to pay attention to. One particular example that comes to mind is when I fell in love with Fairmont, Austin after spending 2 days looking at venues. I did not say much in the moment but I believe Cheryl knew it was my dream to get married there and she made it happen – the first indian wedding at the Fairmont! I will never know how to thank you enough for bringing it to reality.

I also loved how she was always present for all of our meetings and had a unique ability to look at the big picture and piece together little details. excellent relationships with vendors. I can speak from experience when I say her clients (who become family!) and her vendors would go to the end of the earth for her. Cheryl, thank you so much for all you and Rohit have done for us!

We faced the worst case scenario–using the rain plan for what was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony. The week before our wedding Cheryl made sure we had a solid rain plan we were all comfortable with. The day of the wedding, with some (but not much) guidance on what the end product would look like, Cheryl coordinated the most beautiful wedding set up indoors. So much so that I didn’t feel an ounce of regret that we couldn’t have an outdoor ceremony we wanted. With a fusion wedding, we also had a set of unique challenges. Cheryl was able to seamlessly plan two ceremonies and honor both cultures. Undoubtedly, hiring Cheryl was money well spent and saved us hours and money in the long run. She also helped us find terrific vendors which fit into our budget.

Thank you just isn’t enough when it comes to Cheryl and Rohit! We feel blessed to have found them and to have worked with them to make our Fusion wedding absolutely perfect. My husband and I are still smiling ear to ear at how perfect each and every day of our wedding week ended up. When people ask us what our favorite part of the several day event was, we keep telling them that we cannot choose because everything was absolutely perfect! I literally feel like our wedding was a fairytale and a dream come true. Glitzzy Events made sure that every vision of ours was executed perfectly, from decor, to the many items we decided to make and bring along with us, to keeping guests happy – it was all amazing.

All of our guests have been raving about Glitzzy Events. They truly blew them away with their kind personalities, their calming presence and the fact that they kept all parts of our wedding continuously moving. Rohit handled our Garba with such grace and when we did not have to go containers, he ran out to grab some. I have never heard of planners going above and beyond to make sure that every item is taken care of.

Cheryl always kept a smile on her face, a calm demeanor and continued to get things done – including making sure that the DJ received our first dance song less than an hour before the reception! I am so thankful for their constant phone calls and making sure to remind me to keep getting things done and move forward. Their insistence on perfecting our timeline, constant phone calls with vendors to make sure we were all on the same page, was all just amazing. Glitzzy Events goes above and beyond for their couples and it is evident that they were meant to do this!

My husband and I never felt stressed or worried during our multiple day event and much of that is because of Glitzzy Events! We cannot believe that we got to eat EVERY single meal at all of our events! Cheryl and Rohit were quick to get us food, refill drinks and make sure that we were not too far off schedule. We even had an opportunity to attend our own cocktail hour – and did not feel like we were giving up anything else to do so! We will forever remember our wedding with fond memories and if anyone ever asks us who to trust with their big day, we will without a doubt suggest Glitzzy Events!

It’s hard for me to think about my wedding happening without Cheryl. I was the first to get married in my family and had many ideas for the ceremony and reception, but no clue how to actually organize and implement our ideas. This is where Cheryl and her husband come into play. They can execute any idea and make it a reality. They have vendors for anything needed for a wedding and truly are some of the sweetest people we have had the pleasure of working with in awhile. If you are in doubt as to whether or not to spend money on a wedding planner, I can say with complete confidence that Cheryl is the right person to help you. She made herself available at all times to answer our questions and kept our event running smoothly and beautifully the day of. This review is long overdue. “Do we need a wedding planner for our wedding?”. This was one of the questions I asked during the beginning stages of planning our wedding. I was so nervous on hiring a wedding planner. Scared that they overcharge or the general assumption that we will not get exactly what we want. We did a destination wedding and were a bit worried with regards to organizing and choosing our vendors but Cheryl made the process as painless as possible. She is very organized, attentive and detail oriented. She prepared a google doc for us to update and track the list of tasks to be done and she made sure we were on the right track for all the events planned for our wedding. Going into the final stretch before the wedding, she really starts to bring everything together and will bring to your attention details you never considered.

All her packages are very reasonable for the amount of work she puts in.
She always responded quickly to any questions we had, gave us friendly reminders every time we needed to get things done or submitted. We had so many last minute things and Cheryl took care of everything. She had thought of things that we did not even think about. Trust me there are really few things we didn’t even know.

On our wedding day, we knew we had absolutely nothing to stress about because Cheryl and her team were on it. We couldn’t have asked for a better planner, and we are so grateful that we picked Cheryl to help us throughout our wedding planning.

Cheryl is amazing! We used Glitzzy Events for wedding coordination and I just don’t know how we could’ve done it without her. She literally made sure every last detail was taken care of and made our wedding day as stress-free as possible. I booked Cheryl for Month and Day-Of services for our two-night wedding. I like to be very organized and Cheryl’s process to pull all of our plans together and execute was amazing! We hosted a Western and Indian ceremony and Cheryl’s experience was so helpful to the uniqueness we wanted to apply to our ceremonies. She is very knowledgeable about a variety of different cultural and religious weddings and her suggestions and reminders were so helpful. She also understood my vision from the beginning and carried through with all my wishes. She navigated the various perspectives including mine, my husband, and both parents. She also calmly handled the execution and I didn’t have to worry at all that everything would go according to plan since she was there. Our wedding days were relaxing and enjoyable thanks to Cheryl and Rohit!

Cheryl planned our wedding in Austin, TX and I could not have asked for a better wedding planner. I do not live in Austin so I relied completely on Cheryl for vendor recommendations, negotiations, tastings, etc. She handled everything with aplomb. We had a traditional Indian wedding with Sangeet, wedding ceremony, and reception for 300 people. Cheryl was so good at thinking of all the little details that made the event so special. In addition, she is so organized and that made the event go so smoothly. We got so many comments from our friends and family at how spectacular and well-organized our wedding was. I would not hesitate to hire Cheryl (and Rohit!) again for any future event planning. She is worth every penny (and her prices are very reasonable).

If you’re planning an Indian wedding, you know here are many additional details that someone who hasn’t had that experience won’t know. We had Cheryl for “month of” coordination and catering services. I made it clear that this wouldn’t be a typical Indian wedding with a bit of fusion and a lot of feminism but having someone who knows Indian weddings was still critical. She has an abundance of contacts that made booking additional vendors more convenient. I’m a very detail oriented, DIY person, but there were logistics I hadn’t considered. For example, I put off transportation for a while and I didn’t know where to start with that vendor search. She made a phone call for us and made the booking process for a verified vendor much easier just a month before the wedding.

Cheryl took care of communication on my behalf with the photographer and the band, which was helpful when I was thinking about a million different other things. She planned weekly calls to make sure we hadn’t left anything out of planning with me and my parents. The ceremony went smoothly on time starting from the baraat to the pictures afterwards. The reception and tables were set up beautifully and looked very classy.

During the reception Cheryl took the initiative to keep the band going instead of switching to Bollywood and the party continued! There was a spill during the reception and before I even spoke to anyone her staff was on cleaning it up. She talked me into doing sparklers which I was previously hesitant about but I really love how the photos turned out and I think the guest enjoyed them as well. Thanks to Cheryl and her team for a smooth and timely Indian wedding where everyone had a wonderful time.

We had the great pleasure of working with Cheryl when we were planning our wedding in June of 2019. Cheryl made the entire process of wedding planning / organizing — which in our case involved 300+ guests and 3 days of activities — significantly easier and more enjoyable! She knew the right vendors to use and helped us make decisions along the way. Cheryl is a wonderful wedding coordinator, and we cannot imagine getting through the entire wedding planning process without her. We booked her a little over a year before our wedding; We were in two different cities, with one of us starting a new job and the other one in grad school, and so we needed someone to help us make our traditional Indian wedding a reality. And Cheryl really came through–whether it was helping us find reasonably priced but trusted vendors in Austin, working through issues with the reception venue, helping us meet planning and financial deadlines, or just providing emotional support and guidance. No matter what we threw at her–even last minute changes demanded by clergy–she was able to handle it with grace and wisdom. We highly recommend her as a wedding planner. Cheryl’s the best.

Thanks to the husband/wife team, Cheryl & Rohit planned and delivered the Best Wedding ever event for us. All the guest attendees had just one word to describe the event “Wow!” It was a wonderful experience to work with Chery. Cheryl is such an awesome person! She is extremely passionate about her work and is always willing to go the extra mile! We worked with her for months, and she helped us from the beginning idea stage to the full execution stage. Additionally, she is a caring and personable person! Cheryl is amazing!!! We had a destination wedding in Austin, TX and came to the city knowing absolutely nothing about what it had to offer, except that the views were gorgeous. Cheryl has connections with great vendors in the past and gave us good recommendations on who we should consider working with for each event given the details of what we were expecting (different types of food, decorations, etc.). This also meant she was able to get us good deals with these vendors as well as negotiate prices.

She was very organized and set up Google docs for me to review and update often to make sure we were on schedule and had a good understanding of what to expect on the days of the events. She was always available and ready to help. We were e-mailing and texting Cheryl several times weekly and she was always willing to help us out. When we got closer to the wedding, she also set up phone meetings every 2 days to make sure everything was on track for last minute details. My parents and I were especially amazed at how much we were able to get done during our 2 day trips to Austin. We simply let Cheryl know when we wanted to come down and she arranged all meetings with the vendors and kept everything on time. We always left with a sense of accomplishment without feeling overwhelmed.

We had several friends and family members tell us how organized and on schedule everything was during the wedding weekend. She even made sure all bills were finalized after the events and offered to pick up things that were left at venues for us. Overall, Cheryl was a lifesaver and helped us flawlessly plan a destination wedding in 6 months. I HIGHLY recommend her and her team.

We had our dream wedding thanks to Cheryl and her team! We got married in May 2017 in Austin Texas and as soon as we met with Cheryl, we knew she would be a perfect fit to plan our wedding. My fiance and I both lived in Houston and our families were not from Texas so this made the planning processes difficult until we met Cheryl. Initially I thought we wouldn’t need a planner because we were keeping our wedding on the smaller side, but after a couple of months of vendor shopping, I realized we could not plan a destination Indian wedding without the help of an expert, especially with us not being in town.

Cheryl actually ended up saving us more than her fee! She was able to negotiate contracts and find the best vendors and deals due to her connections in the area. As the wedding date got closer she was crucial in finding last minute vendors, getting everything organized and keeping us on track.

Our actual wedding weekend ran so smoothly all thanks Cheryl and Rohit. They were so great at keeping everything organized and on time. I later found out that there were little things that didn’t go exactly as I had planned (due to weather or vendors) but my family and I didn’t have to deal with any of these things because Cheryl had taken care of them. My parents were fully able to relax and enjoy the wedding- which was priceless to them. If you are thinking about getting a planner – DO IT! And go with Glitzzy Events! We ended up saving more money and priceless time and energy by having Cheryl plan our wedding. It was a stress-free beautiful weekend and my HUSBAND and I couldn’t have been happier.

Cheryl was fantastic to work with. We planned a destination Indian wedding in Austin, and as soon as we met with her and decided to work with her, Cheryl put us at ease. She was very responsive, organized, and fun to work with. She made sure that we were both happy with the decisions we were making, and also worked with us to come up with solutions for any problems as they came up. She and her husband were also a fantastic help especially on the day of the wedding, and helped us pull off a wedding ceremony at one venue and a reception at another venue about 40 mins away without a hitch. Cheryl and her team helped us pull off an Indian fusion wedding and henna ceremony/pre-wedding party a month ago in Texas Hill Country. Cheryl patiently and diligently worked with us for a year, finding vendors and negotiating with them and also negotiating between the sometimes-competing desires of the bride/groom/parents/budget. She did a fantastic job with that, but I think we didn’t even really appreciate her value until the events took place. Cheryl pulled together everything flawlessly, and we as well as our guests were awed by how beautiful both days were. And she was cheerful the entire time, despite having to manage stress coming at her from all directions. We are very very glad that Cheryl was a part of our wedding.

Cheryl is the best wedding planner we could have possibly asked for! We asked a lot of her and she delivered throughout the entire process. We actually had an Indian and an American wedding so planning for both of these was quite the task. We really loved and appreciated Cheryl’s services. Cheryl was the best. Event planning is something that comes naturally to her and she enjoys doing it J . We contacted Cheryl 3 months prior to our wedding and neither of us were in Austin. So Cheryl had to coordinate most of the planning with our vendors, church and reception hall. She would communicate with us frequently and would always reply to our messages in a prompt manner. Cheryl helped plan and run all the events (3 of them in the space of 24 hours). For our church ceremony, when the coordinator from the church could not show up for the rehearsal – Cheryl ran it by herself and did an amazing job for the rehearsal and for the wedding the next day

The whole process was well planned (with great attention to detail) from the welcome bags, to arranging transport for guests, to small things like ensuring the bride and groom had food to eat, had gifts brought back to the room – she took care of it all. The decoration for the Roce, and the wedding, the food at both events were fantabulous. In addition, she and her husband and her associates put in not a 100% but 150% effort into everything they did. The result was a dream wedding with the least amount of stress that my wife and myself had to go through.

With the help and guidance of Glitzzy events, we planned our dream indian-american fusion wedding in 6 months. Hiring Cheryl was well worth it – she was so kind and helped us with everything from vendor outreach/management/negotiation, design/decor, budget, and most importantly month/day of coordination! When we originally planned to use Glitzzy Events for our wedding planning, our wedding was scheduled for November of 2020. The pandemic had yet to hit, and all seemed smooth. Well, of course, fast forward about six months, and we are working on a reschedule with multiple vendors with no safe date in sight. Throughout all of this, Cheryl was patient, motivated, and, above all else, empathetic. She handled the entire situation with a grace that I couldn’t have even imagined. When you pick a planner for your event, I’m sure you are looking for someone who doesn’t panic at the sight of a problem, and instead, is always looking for solutions. Well, I can tell you that the planning of this wedding these last couple of years threw every problem her way, and she was constantly calm and working out contingencies. I truly never saw her fazed, and there is no one better, calmer, better at their job, or kinder that you would want planning your event. Another thing Cheryl excels at is relationships and managing opinions. Every single wedding is bound to have many opinions tossed about, and that can be quite difficult to sort through! In some ways, it is the trickiest part of putting on an event like this – trying to make sure everyone involved is happy with the end result. Well, Cheryl is a master at taking everyone’s opinions into account and coming up with something that works for everyone. She did this several times during our wedding planning process, and she was a complete lifesaver that way. In the end, the event she planned had something for everyone involved, even including little surprises that showed just how carefully she had been listening and really understanding. That is Cheryl’s true strength – taking the visions and ideas of two partners and their families and really taking the time, energy, and what I can only guess is a natural gift to bring those dreams to reality. When I saw the end result, I was nearly brought to tears not just because it was beautiful and meaningful, but because it was exactly what I had imagined and more, and because it was a result of so much creativity and love from someone who is so good at what they do. For some specific information, Cheryl planned a fusion wedding for us with Sangeet, Chinese ceremony, Indian ceremony (a task which included conducting a baraat on 6th street, I’m sure no easy feat, though she made it look easy), and a western style reception, so truly there is nothing she cannot do! Cheryl, her husband, and her team will always have a place in our heart, having worked on both my sister and my wedding, and we only hope to have more events in the future just to work with her again!

Two incredible weddings and the journey of a lifetime with the amazingly talented Cheryl

There are so many wonderful things we could write about Cheryl, Rohit and Glitzzy Events. Cheryl, her husband Rohit and their team were with us through the challenging time of planning a wedding before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our journey with them started in late 2019 and little did we know at that time would continue all the way through May of 2021. When we initially started planning our wedding in 2019, our plan was to have a grand wedding in Sept 2020 with all of our family and friends at the Hyatt Lost Pines. We had meetings with Cheryl every other week and she meticulously documented everything we would discuss at each meeting and by the next meeting would have spoken to all the vendors and come back to us with everything taken care of and ready for us to review. She never missed a beat either, her organizational skills and ability to keep calm and keep us calm when everything seemed so overwhelming was truly a blessing. We all went through a lot of hardships during 2020 and despite this Cheryl was unwavering in her professionalism and commitment to making sure our wedding would be the best version that it could possibly be within the circumstances outside of anyone’s control. With the pandemic raging during Sept 2020, having a large wedding was out of the question and so we made the tough decision to postpone this celebration until things settled down. However, we still wanted to be married on our original chosen date in September and Cheryl was there to support us in this. We had one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies on that day in our home with our immediate families only and it was designed and executed entirely by Cheryl, Rohit and their team at Glitzzy Events. This type of mini wedding was something that they had not done before and something we could have never imagined doing and it was all put together on such short timeline and somehow executed flawlessly! The décor they created for the front of our house was magnificent and dream-like. Our neighbors still talk about how beautiful our home looked on that day! It was unlike anything we have ever seen or imagined, and it was such a special day. We were grateful to be able to livestream this beautiful event for our families and friends to be part of virtually as well, thanks to the amazing video team we had as well.
Even though we were officially married on this day in Sept 2020 in a small ceremony at our home, we were still determined to have a larger wedding celebration with our family and friends in attendance. With so much uncertainty on our timeline, we postponed this celebration until May 2021. Cheryl was with us during this entire time period through the ups and downs of planning and postponing and planning again and making sure that we would be ready to celebrate with our guests that could attend by then. The wedding we had started planning in 2019 was not the same wedding we ended up having in May 2021, but it ended up being the best celebration we could imagine and exactly what it was meant to be! We significantly modified the celebration to incorporate both Latin and Indian cultures on two separate nights. It was the perfect fusion of two bright and colorful cultures and Cheryl was instrumental in helping to create this. It was such a beautiful wedding weekend at the Hyatt Lost Pines full of so much love and so much emotion. Our friends and families cried, it was the first time for us to all be together again after such a difficult year, and to be able to celebrate together something that had been in the making for so long was such an incredible feeling of gratefulness and hope that our lives were returning and love remains abundant. There are no words to describe how grateful we are to Cheryl for creating this moment for us in our lives. Not just once but twice. Two incredible, beautiful, perfect weddings, different in their scale, but priceless just the same.
Although we would never want to plan another wedding again after all we went through (lol), we would choose Cheryl again 1000 times!!!

Cheryl, Rohit and the rest of the glitzzy event team were such a blessing to Ravi and I as we started planning our big fat indian wedding. From the beginning Cheryl was so attentive, easy to talk to and sooo organized! She scheduled out meetings once a month and than weekly as we came close to our wedding date. This made it so stress free and easy as me and Ravi both worked full time jobs. I can honestly say i felt very little stress throughout this whole process despite planning a wedding in a middle of a pandemic. On the days of the events, Cheryl and her team worked through early mornings and late nights to make sure our families and us didn’t have to worry about anything. And we didnt! We genuinely believe we have had the wedding of our dreams and could not have happened without this team. We cant thank her enough. Where do I even start. We booked Cheryl as our full service wedding planner back in August of 2019 and we finally had our dream wedding November of 2021. Cheryl was honestly the best wedding planner we could have ever imagined. She knows the Austin market so well and honestly makes wedding planning such a breeze. Due to Covid and some personal issues we had a few things for our wedding that either fell through or didn’t go as plan but Cheryl went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we wanted. When we had to reschedule for Covid our original wedding venue was not available anymore and Cheryl was able to find us a new venue that we ended up LOVING. If you are getting married in the Austin area we highly highly recommend hiring Cheryl! I promise you it will be the best thing decision you make during your entire wedding planning process. We miss our weekly chats with Cheryl and wish we could do it all over again!!

Cheryl and her team expertly managed our wedding over a two+ year process including multiple COVID postponements which required significant coordination between guests, vendors, venue, and of course our family. The day of the wedding could not have possibly been more smooth and well executed. Cheryl is calm, warm and very experienced, and set a clear framework up front while allowing our family to customize each aspect of the wedding in a productive manner. The 5 star reviews don’t do Cheryl justice. Our wedding was planned for May of 2020. Due to Covid, we scheduled it to May of 2021. Since the numbers werent going down we ended up going with Dec 2021. All three of those times, Cheryl was there to help. She was the one who coordinated all the reschedules with grace. It is so hard to contact a million vendors to reschedule, thank god Cheryl was there to to that for us. She is extremely organized. She know how to run a wedding! We met every other week for 6 months and once a week for a month leading up to the wedding. If there was any conflicts, she was flexible to move it to accommodate our schedule. We would throw her random things that we wanted in our wedding and she always found a way to make it happen. The actual wedding was perfection. There was no glitch and I did not stress at all. Cheryl instructed all vendors to their correct place and assisted with tear down at the wedding. All me and my family had to do was have a good time. We are so lucky to have had Cheryl there to share this special event with us. She has done my cousins wedding as well so she is now a fixture in our family. I want to now create more events so that Cheryl can plan them!

Cheryl is amazing! We have so many great things to say. We met Cheryl and booked Glitzzy events as our first vendor shortly after finding a venue in March of 2019, for our Indian wedding that was initially planned for Spring 2020 but ultimately happened in Fall 2021. Cheryl was incredibly helpful to our planning process by helping us stay organized with spreadsheets, stay on task, provide vendor recommendations, and beyond that, her connectedness and knowledge of the Indian wedding industry in Austin. She knows the ins and outs extremely well, knows hows to get things done, and is an excellent communicator. Even during our wedding week if a problem came up she knew who to contact to fix it. We were planning our wedding from out of state and as busy resident physicians, so we appreciated that she coordinated meetings during limited times when we could be back home and/or over zoom. She was always available for and patient with our questions and helped us and my parents organize the large details and every small detail to pull off the dream Indian wedding we really wanted including three days of events. Another plus is her business also has decor to choose from, which we used for my mehndi night! She is super sweet and genuinely caring. We also got to know her husband, Rohit, who is also wonderful and owns Sparkle Catering, which we used for our wedding day. She communicated between vendors, facilitated and came with us to meetings throughout the entire process like walkthroughs, tastings, and decor. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything stayed on time and went as planned, and took care of us too like making sure we ate food! We certainly could not have pulled it off without her. Another thing is that Cheryl can withstand any feat when it comes to weddings. About 4 weeks prior to our initial wedding date of April 2020, at the start of the pandemic, we had to do the unthinkable and reschedule our wedding which was a very difficult and painful process, and Cheryl helped us with everything and made it easier by contacting vendors for us. We ultimately rescheduled a second time as well, which again Cheryl helped us with. This extended period of time was challenging but Cheryl helped refresh the planning and keep us on track for what to do on monthly and weekly basis! So, all of this to say – Cheryl is wonderful, kind, knowledgeable, will always go the extra mile to help you, feels like she is part of your family, and we couldn’t have done it without her. We 100% recommend her for your wedding planning needs!

Glittzy team planned my Indian wedding in Austin. Cheryl and Rohit are a dream team..the level of respect Cheryl commands among the wedding vendors is truly amazing. If you want a perfect wedding, Cheryl is your person!

When my parents told me and my California fiancé that we had to have a wedding in Austin, TX (where they live), we knew right away that Cheryl would be the one to help us. It was the first wedding in my family, so we had no idea what we were doing. And on top of that, I wanted to do everything different from the traditional Pakistani weddings in the US. That means absolutely no hotel ballroom for any event! I wanted a beautiful garden/outdoorsy wedding with the best Desi food caterer in all of Texas. But what I didn’t realize was how much extra work that entails, especially after COVID when the whole world was getting married at the same time. We needed a separate vendor for every single little thing possible – plates, fans, coolers, buffet tables, chairs, tents, etc etc. It was insane how many vendors were required to produce two 270 person events. Cheryl took care of EVERYTHING. She and her team handled every single vendor, and they knew exactly who to call and who to trust. Imagine dealing with all of these vendors during a time when every single one of them was understaffed, overbooked, and facing supply chain issues. Cheryl made sure every single vendor was on the same page. Thanks to her and her team, every single vendor delivered on each promise, and I know that was no easy task that just anyone could do, especially during these conditions. Here’s an example – just the weekend before my wedding, two guests had fainted at the same outdoors venue I had booked. I was so worried the same would happen to my guests. Cheryl booked us evaporative coolers within just a couple of days before the wedding. I was really at ease knowing that no matter what conditions God threw at us that day, Cheryl would take care of us.

The only disappointment I had during my wedding was with how tardy my guests were, which obviously was nothing her team could control!

I consider Cheryl to be an angel of mine. Her experience in this space is unparalleled and you cannot go wrong with her. She will make sure every single wedding dream of yours is met!

I was very worried looking for a planner as a Queer Indian/White couple who would understand us as a couple and be able to help us make our dreams come true. We are so so glad we went with Cheryl & Rohit from Glitzzy events for our fusion Lutheran/South Indian wedding. Our wedding weekend was absolutely PERFECT thanks to them. Everyone knows wedding planning is super stressful, but they made it so easy and fun! They intentionally took the time to understand us as a couple and our families, so they could anticipate our needs before jumping into planning.

They were calm and collected when interacting with us, even though there was a lot going on behind the scenes of each event. They were extraordinarily detail oriented, and helped us keep track of everything. They have already built a vast network of vendors specifying in South Asian fusion weddings, which was so important since I’m a first generation Indian in the U.S. and don’t have immediate family around to help. They were so prompt in communicating with us, especially when it got closer to the date of the wedding, and followed up with every single vendor to coordinate and make sure our day went off perfectly.

During COVID, costs started to sky rocket throughout the wedding industry, and Cheryl and Rohit were transparent with us about this from the beginning. As soon as they found out that costs were increasing, they let us know and helped us revise the budget. When we realized we couldn’t go over budget in certain areas to accommodate areas where we would have to go over budget (like food), they spent time trying to find creative solutions to help us stay within our budget while ensuring that our weekend was beautiful.

Cheryl designed and executed the decor for our Sangeet, and it’s an understatement to say that it was a smash hit! Our guests have been RAVING about her Sangeet decorations for months after the event. During our Sangeet and on our wedding day, Cheryl & Rohit made sure we were fed, happy and stress free, and that everything went smoothly on a set timeline. They are incredible event planners, and have organized and decorated other events for us like my mother’s 55th birthday and our house warming (graha pravesam) ceremony.

We 100% recommend them to anyone that we know, they are the BEST wedding investment that we made! Truly, our wedding would never have happened without them. They are so fun to work with, and are wonderful humans. In these big events, they have been like our family away from home. Love them both!

Cheryl and Rohit are an amazing team! We first met Cheryl 8 years back when she planned my older sisters wedding in Austin and was instrumental in making it such a success. My family is from California and always would say that when it was time for me to get married that I should get married in Austin as well since Cheryl and her team made the whole process so seamless. Fast forward a couple years and my husband and I were living in New York and starting to plan our wedding during the height of the pandemic and did not know if we were going to be able to have the big Indian wedding, I had dreamed of due to all the uncertainties. My husband’s family is from New Jersey and mine in California and we decided to pick something in the middle and Austin TX was the obvious choice. Cheryl helped us navigate picking vendors and our venue while we were living in NYC and had virtual meetings with us weekly to keep us on track and bring all my visions to life. She made time to come to all our vendor meetings, walk throughs, and tastings when we made trips to Austin. I could not have imagined a better wedding planner for us than Cheryl from Glitzzy Events. She is absolutely the BEST. Through the whole process, she was so patient, flexible, and dedicated so much of her time and effort in setting up a timeline and meeting with us regularly. I needed someone who could help me make all decisions, big and small and Cheryl was the perfect guide due to how confident yet calm she is. Cheryl is good at establishing relationships because of how personable she is and you can feel how much she cares for the outcomes of the events, as well as the experiences of the guests, couple, vendors, and staff. Even though it definitely was not expected of her due to how busy she must have been, she added personal touches to many things such as little decor, having signs ready and set up at events, ensuring we were fed, and other numerous things that could have easily been missed by us during the actual weekend. I just recently got married in Austin, TX and I loved my experience working with Glitzzy events! I first started working with Cheryl a little under a year prior to the big day and she was gracious enough to take me on as a client despite her busy schedule. I am so thankful that she did because this wedding could not have been as amazing as it was without her and the entire team!
Cheryl was excellent at keeping us on track throughout the entire planning process. She is extremely detail oriented and was constantly suggesting things that really made a huge difference in our event. Because of her many years of experience in the wedding industry, she has developed a great list of vendors that she has excellent relationships with. It was very clear that vendors would go out of there way to communicate with us and accommodate our requests just because of this long standing relationship. Regardless, she was also great at working with some new vendors that we ended up going with!
As far as day-of event coordination goes, I cannot imagine our wedding without the Glitzzy team. We had initially planned an outdoor sangeet and wedding ceremony, but had to move everything inside due to poor weather. Cheryl, Melissa, Rohit, and the team coordinated everything with our venue, were on site immediately to confirm indoor locations, and worked seamlessly with our decorator and other vendors to make the appropriate changes. Most of my guests did not even realize that the events were originally planned for the outdoors!
After a year of planning, it really felt like I was just meeting with family every week to put my wedding together. Cheryl, Melissa, and Rohit really put their hearts and souls into making your wedding special for you and your family! I cannot recommend this amazing team of people enough!

Working with Cheryl and her team to plan our Indian wedding weekend was the single best decision we made during the planning process! Glitzzy Events came highly recommended when we were researching wedding planners for an Indian/fusion wedding in Austin and it’s clear why: Cheryl is extremely experienced and knowledgeable on all things wedding related in Austin, the relationships she has made with local vendors is invaluable, and she has successfully navigated this industry pre- and post-pandemic. She is a pillar of support, gave us realistic expectations throughout the process, is so creative (the bangle cart she made was perfect) and very fun to work with – she truly was our wedding fairy godmother! The planning process was pretty organized, we met for regular zoom meetings, Cheryl had an overall timeline on when to complete certain tasks (when to book venues/vendors, send the save the dates out etc.) and helped us with vendor contracts. She and her husband, Rohit, came with us to visit venues, answered all of our questions and put us at ease. The Glitzzy Events team was incredible during the wedding weekend itself. They took care of all logistics so we could enjoy the events, spend time with our family/friends and actually EAT during the reception (which is unheard of!). They navigated a huge curveball that the weather brought us like pros (because they are pros) — the wedding and reception went very smoothly despite the unexpected cold front with rain. We are truly grateful that they handled everything so that we, and our family, could enjoy all of our events without being stressed out!

What we loved about working with Cheryl and her team is that they have been in the industry long enough to have made connections with most vendors in Austin and really know, not only Indian weddings but American weddings too. Glitzzy events LLC, is definitely not an unknown name when it comes to planning a wedding, a party of any kind or an event in central Texas. I must say this, and I feel immense happiness in saying this, that Glitzzy team exceeds their reputation and everyone’s expectation in planning, execution, and making any event go as smooth as freshly whipped cream. Cheryl, Rohit and Melissa paid diligent attention to every detail and went above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful and memorable. It is certainly possible to find many great event planners, but seldom we find people who, in addition to doing it passionately, bestow their warm and calming vibe to everything. Glitzzy team behaved with us just a like a family, while meticulously carrying out their professional duties throughout the event. In a particular incident, during the wedding events some of our stuff was forgotten in an Uber ride. I tried to contact the driver and Uber countless number of times over the next 2 days without any success. Cheryl went above and beyond to pull her contacts and resources, and miraculously located the driver and got our stuff back. That was a huge and pleasant surprise for us to receive our valuable items back.
